PORTLAND, Oregon – The 2021 Far East Show, to be held August 18-20 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, will offer three seminars to help retail gardeners revitalize their marketing strategies and increase sales.
These sessions provide practical ideas for garden center owners and green industry experts to improve sales through improved communication methods, tools to strengthen their company’s brand, and the latest sales techniques.
- Ryan McNenney He is the Marketing and Communications Manager for Bailey Guardians and the session entitled “Understanding the Millennium from a Millennium Perspective” will be held on Wednesday, August 18 at 8:30 – 9:30 p.m.
- Later that day, from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Ri Ri Knox, PhD, CEO of Enterprise Generations LLC, offers “promoting your family business in your product”.
- 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Thursday, August 19 Joe Berr, Zenginius CEO, “Merchandising 101: How to grow your business with basic marketing techniques.”
McKenneyThe session provides a personal and research-based view of the Millennium demographic structure. Provides communication strategies to connect with the largest generation in the United States. As a member of the Millennium and a multi-generational family business guardian, he uses his experience to provide examples of how companies can improve their communication and marketing strategies. It provides research experience, industry examples, and success stories to provide the tools needed for future generations to grow their businesses.
Knox He spent more than a decade working with property advocates, business consultants and family business owners to develop a strategic approach to family product strategy. More than 90% of nurseries are family-owned businesses, but how can they take advantage of that to differentiate themselves from the competition? This session highlights four keys to family brand success, and helps business owners show their customers the strengths of homework and marketing potential.
Beer Direct-to-customer sales teams impress Farwest attendees with practical advice on visual merchandise. Over the past 30 years, Bayer has worked with many of the world’s largest retailers to enhance their displays in a practical and elegant way. Retail garden owners and sales associates should learn how to make the best use of your retail space to drive up-to-date visual trends and sales during this session. From small boutiques to large businesses, good sales techniques are key to motivating customers for years to come.
