A meeting has been called today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Ganderbal to discuss the roadmap for establishment of Hi-Tech Nursery in District Ganderbal.
In the discussion, a detailed discussion was held on various issues to establish a hi-tech nursery in the district, which are suitable and feasible land, the central concept of the hi-tech nursery in the district, identifying the integrated farming system, soil less culture, proper agriculture, creating it as a tourist attraction. , combining local culture with hi-tech and zero energy approach.
During the meeting, the line departments briefed the DDC about the requirements for “hi-tech” nursery i.e. semi-hi-tech and hi-tech poly houses, nursery and shade net areas, modern machinery, tools, equipment and to achieve the high goal. Value Crops (Special).

After discussion and deliberation, DDC directed the Assistant Commissioner to set aside revenue for setting up a District Level Hi-Tech Nursery keeping in view the feasibility criteria of the participating departments of District Ganderbal Division.
All the officers have been directed to submit a concrete plan to their respective departments for setting up a hi-tech incubator. The Member Secretary is requested to invite members from the Sericulture, Forestry and Horticulture Wings of SKUAST-K/KVK.
