The Dublin City Council has announced a week-long program of free workshops and discussions on career and employment advice.
The work program will run from Monday 6 to Saturday, September 11 and will be hosted by the Dublin City Council Library.
The Workplace Program includes invaluable, online professional development advice.
These supports are for anyone who wants to use professional guidance.
No matter what career level you are in, start it up or look for a change, job issues can provide you with the tools you need to be successful in today’s job market. You can also learn about your further education and training options.
With the release of this year’s release certificates coming soon, students and parents alike can find events in this program particularly useful.
New beginnings can be difficult, but with the right advice you can make the most of the new and exciting opportunities that come into the world of work.
Work events, September 6-11, 2021
- Ways to help parents plan their career. Monday 6Th September 6:30 – 7:30 pm.
Wodehla Kelly, a professional coach, discusses practical ways to help teens plan their career choices.
- Explore your career path. Tuesday 7Th September 1:30 – 3.30pm.
Barry Ryan, a consultant consultant at CDATB Adult Guide, talks about additional education and training options such as training, return to learning, community training centers, PLC courses, trainings, youth destinations, and more.
- Focus on a career in gardening. Wednesday 8Th September 1:30 – 2:15 pm
Joe Aureli, Horticulture / Gardiner, Dublin City Council Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services will talk about gardening and answer any questions.
- Changing careers in the current climate. Thursday 9Th September 6:30 – 7:30 pm
Margaret Corbett, recruitment coordinator at the Dublin City Education and Training Board (CDTB), provides tips and advice on how to successfully transition to a new job.
- Are you ready for the job market? Saturday 11thTh September 11am – 1pm
A two-hour webinar with professional trainers who offer key tips on preparing and promoting yourself for the job market
