Farrukh Habib Distributes Free Plants to People in I-Day – UrduPoint

Faisalabad, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 14, 2021) – State Minister of Information and Broadcasting Farouk Habib on Saturday distributed free plants among people at the Zila Council on Independence Day.

Speaking to the APP, the state minister said thousands of seedlings had been planted in the Parks and Fruit Authority (PHA) and that Independence Day was also linked to the 10 billion tsunami tree planting campaign.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has emerged as a world leader in working on climate change, and all international organizations, including the World Economic Forum, are appreciating Pakistan’s efforts. World leaders also praised Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for climate change, adding that the United Nations has given Pakistan a World Environment Day this year.

According to the State Minister, Prime Minister Imran Khan himself was overseeing and directing the tsunami planting campaign and now the campaign is in full swing.

In addition to global warming, every citizen has become part of the tree planting to make the country greener.

PHA has planted thousands of trees in Fisalaba and is now offering saplings to the general public for greater participation in the government’s tree planting campaign, he said.

According to PAA Director General Asima Ejaz Chema, every Pakistani plant should plant two trees on Independence Day and in this regard, PH will distribute 15,000 trees among people for free so that they can participate in the drive.

PHA said 25,000 trees are currently being planted in Feisladabad and a total of 100,000 plants will be planted in the district by the end of this month, according to the park and fruit and vegetable arrangements.
