From Wednesday, September 1, and the following Wednesday to September 15, this “September Plan Air Air Paint in the Garden, Explore the Garden with Artist Anne Kramer at 1 p.m. The room works outdoors, translating the garden visas and details into pictures. Each session begins with a discussion of student assignments, demonstrations, and tutoring. Beginners and experienced artists are welcome. Be a master gardener
Northampton – Hampshire, Hampden, Franklin and Berkshire County residents who are passionate about gardening, want to learn more about gardening practices and share information with the public can now apply to join the 2022 Western Massachusetts Master Gardeners Association Volunteer Training Program.
Whether you are a landlord, apartment / condo resident, or working in a garden or nursery, completing the WMMGA Master Gardener Training Program will give you a set of skills to help you better understand the land, plants and insects around you. You will learn about plants, ontology, plant identification, propagation and care. You will learn about trees and shrubs and their importance for a diverse and healthy environment. They learn about pollen and its vital role in the life cycles of other insects, birds, wildlife, and plants.
The upcoming 2022 Master Gardener Training Unit will be a new, mixed online and in-person training model. This new model makes the training room accessible to everyone – no matter where you live in Western Mass and your work or retirement plan. All you need is learning and volunteering, computer and internet connection. The training program will be in two classes from March to April 2022 and September to October 2022.
The Non-Profit Program is presented every two years by the Western Massachusetts Master Gardeners Association, an independent educational organization dedicated to promoting good and sustainable gardening practices. It is open to all, regardless of race, color, sex, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, marital or parental status, or national origin. Enrollment Deadline November 15. Tuition is limited.
