University of Illinois Extension Master Masters Gardeners and McHenry County College will host their annual backyard walk from 9 am to 4pm July 9 from the college’s display garden.
Garden Walk 2022 10 shows gardens – eight private parks and two voluntary teaching yards. The gardens are located in Crystal Lake, Woodstock, Bull Valley and southwest of McHenney and include indigenous plains, landscaped landscapes, cottage gardens and eating areas.
In each of the eight residential parks, hosts have marked a number of plants and will be ready to answer questions to share their secrets to success, according to a news report. Extension Master Gardeners will answer questions and provide instructional materials. After the tour, several door prizes will be awarded.
McHenner County College Display Garden is maintained by the Extended Master Garden Volunteers and includes vineyards, shady gardens, landscaped gardens and many perennial and annual plants that grow well in the area. The tour highlights the gardens in the historic property of Colonel Palmer House, Crystal Lake Park District. The historic gardens are also partly maintained by Extension Master Gardeners.
Advanced tickets can be purchased online at gardenwalk2022.brownpapertickets.com from $ 12 to June 28.
