Living in Wisconsin, I have the opportunity to attend and host various parties, fundraisers and events throughout the state. Some are better than others, Some fancy and some ordinary; Some are engaging and some are simple … but they are all great. Whether I am calling for a local charity bingo or hosting a prize, I find all these opportunities unique and rewarding.

That is why I am so excited to be part of the Gine in the Paine Art Center and Gardens. The fall of this jawbone in Oshkosh will be a height of joy on September 11 when it offers food, drinks, dancing, wine, a spectacular exhibition (“Walk This Way”) and much more.

join us! The party will begin at 5pm, with art galleries, magical gardens and a special exhibition. Tickets start at $ 250, discounts for tables. What a great way to end the winter. Visit for more information and bookings or email Laura Romemfanger at Grab your dance shoes, your appetite, a few friends and I’ll meet you there. I promise it will be a private evening in the gardens.

Can’t reach Oshkosh on September 11? Check out the hot spots in this week’s social calendar. There is definitely something in Cream City that will open your toes, put a smile on your face, and make the week a little different. Get out there and practice something new … If you attend a fundraiser, concert or gallery, or simply hit one of the city’s nightclubs, bars or restaurants.

I’ll be back next week with a reader letter or two and some home tips. In the meantime, remember to visit me at, where I update my list of events taking place around the city and the state. Until then, I’ll get around town!
