Gun Safety Awareness Day provides gun safety instruction for adults and children. Children have the opportunity to participate in artistic activities that highlight the importance of practicing violence.

The event will serve as a venue to announce the launch of the first annual shooting at La Mesa Presbyterian Church on June 11 at the National Purchasing Day of Gardens. The gun retrieval event allows members of the public to bring in their unwanted firearms, which will later be planted in the garden.
