Krishna Vigian Kendra, Jammu, has started a 15-day certification course on Integrated Nutrition Management (INM) for input distributors, working under the supervision of Sherr-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. JP Sharma, Deputy Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu; BK Chandan, J&K Director of Law Enforcement UT and IFFCO Area Marketing Manager Bahadur Ram, Jammu were among the guests of honor. Arvind Baru, Chief Agricultural Officer, Jammu, Roshan Lal, Assistant Director of Law and Enforcement, Jammu and other line departments were also present at the opening ceremony. Professor Jagdish Prasad Sharma, Deputy Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu told Agri. -Input traders in the country are the main source of agricultural information for the farming community, including the supply of inputs and loans. He also emphasized on post-harvest farming, processing, value-added, marketing and branding to make agriculture more profitable. KVK Jammu also advised farmers to promote eco-tourism in one of their villages.
Professor SK Gupta, Director of Extension, SKUAST-Jammu, praised INM’s efforts to introduce this certification course to new input traders. BK Chandan, Executive Director of J&K, appreciates the role of KVK Jammu in conducting this course, which ensures that input traders have knowledge of different types of fertilizers and recommended amounts for different crops. In Bahadur Ram, IFFCO Area Marketing Manager Jammu suggested adding some practical work regarding the maintenance of the stock register, DTT’s relationship with input distributors and existing traders. Initially, Dr. Nietzschew, a scientist, scientist and director, Kevke Jammu, welcomed the dignitaries and participants in the program. He also thanked the participants from the three district districts for participating in the program. KVK Jammu thanked the farmers for organizing this certification course and for teaching the new trainees about nano and bio fertilizer in the new farming field. Dr. Muneshwa Sharma, Plant Conservation Scientist, KVK Jammu gave a brief overview of the course and the farmer and explained the purpose of conducting this certification course. Ravnett Kur, Scientist Horticulture, Dr. Prime Kumar, Fisheries Scientist, Dr. Amitesh Sharma, Plant Scientist shared their experiences while meeting with the participants. Dr. Raju Gupta, Er. Ash Cats, S. Satir Singh and Sumer Ray also helped with the program. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Prime Kumar, Scientist Fisherman, KVK Jammu.
