Leigh Ann Busby

RIDGE FARM – Anne Busby, 65, of Ridge Farm, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Lane Ann was born on October 4, 1956, in Leville Hospital, in Carville, to Marley Busby.

Leigh with her brothers Tim (Julie) Busby in Lafayette, Ind. And Patrick Busby of Bozman, Mont. And nieces, Samantha (Rich) Ebershoff of Lafite and Hannah Busby Bozman.

Ley Ann attended Ridge Farm Public Schools, Murray State University in Kentucky, and the University of Southern Illinois. While in southern Illinois, Leigh was a member of the University Chamber Singers. The choir had more than 200 members, of whom Ley is not the only musician. Her love of music continued throughout her adult life as she sang several times with her beloved family members at the Vermillion Grove Friends Church. Leigh loves that church and all the people involved, many of whom have helped her in recent years.

After living and working in Florida and Utah, Leey returned to Vermillion County and completed her 19-year career in Vermillion County Court. She was a horticulturist and loved her flowers and cared for them as part of her family. One of the happiest moments of Lehi’s life was when she returned to the ridge to take care of her elderly mother. She loves Ridge Farm, the city where she lived as mayor. She spends many hours each day improving and rehabilitating the community that helped her and her two siblings grow up. Lee was often seen walking around with her favorite dog scout, and she loved to take him to the farm for his daily run until he passed.

The family would like to thank the hundreds who have come to provide comfort, those who have helped Lane in her struggles with health issues, and those who have chosen to take care of Lane’s life journey. You are all wonderful people.
