Mega Block Diwas was organized by Panchayat Halqa in Kag Block

Mega Block Diwas was held today at Panchayat Halka Sugen in Block Khag of Budgam District.The Block Diwas was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Budgam, Dr Akramullah Tak.

In the program, various public representatives and dignitaries from Sitaran, Sugen, Drung, Shonglipora, Lasipora, Kokerbagh and other neighboring villages demanded an immediate solution with Aden.

DDC member Kag Moulvi Nisar Ahmed emphasized on the approval and implementation of the Zampatri Water Supply Scheme to provide drinking water to the entire area. Apart from the development of park, F&M service station, bank branch and other development, female students also demanded the establishment of a higher secondary school in the area.

The demands raised by the local residents include improvement of secondary education, macadamization and road construction in the area, development of Kushtwan Park, health center accommodation, animal husbandry and agriculture, fruit and vegetable centers, new water transmission line, work performance. On Tosmaidan project, release of SBM fee, fencing of local temple, development of playground, awareness about self employment schemes, BPL ration cards for beneficiaries, additional Panchayat Halka for Sugen, J&K Bank branch, improvement of health and education sector and work on irrigation related projects.

On the occasion, the coordinating committee, Mr. Tosemaidan, presented a list of questions to ADEN and asked them to resolve their real issues early.

He also emphasized on the development of all road connectivity and improvement in all sectors including education and health facilities in the area.

He directed the concerned officers to organize a joint awareness camp in sheep and animal husbandry, agriculture, horticulture and other allied departments to create awareness among their departmental plans and local people.

ADDC emphasized on development of pani track for tourism promotion in Tosmaidan area. He pointed out that special attention is being given to the development of Tosmaidan’s vast tourist area and instructed the relevant parties to identify the area to be used for the construction of a school.

During the programme, concerned district officers were made aware of their public safety plans and initiatives. Engineers of various engineering wings, district agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and sheep husbandry officers, BDO and other concerned bodies were present on the occasion.
