Mid-August has always been my favorite part of summer — it’s time to relax in the warmth of winter with the exciting new season in its wings. Of course, those days were after Labor Day and the “temperature” was in the 90’s, not 108 degrees.
Nevertheless, August is still a time of laziness and a bountiful harvest, especially if you sow a lot of zucchini like you. It is also great for a few minutes to set up your garden or new nursery and your garden.
Here are a few sections and other activities to help you get started. Email garden and plant-related events jeanette.marantos@latimes.com At least three weeks before the event and we can include them in the calendar.
