OPSC Astort Horticulture Officer Recruitment: Apply for Group-B Posts from September 10

The OdisC Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced the appointment of an Assistant Horticulture Officer in Group-B Service Division 2 under the Department of Agriculture and Farmer Incentives.

A total of 37 Assistant Horticulture Officers will be appointed through the recruitment drive. Eligible candidates may apply for the post on the OPCW’s official website (http://opsc.gov.in) via the Proforma application.

The link for registration / re-registration and exam fee will be available on the official website from September 10, 2021. The deadline for submitting online applications is October 8, 2021 (11.59 pm).


The Assistant Veterinary Officer pays a salary of 9,300-34,8001 rubles: a salary increase of 4600 (PB-2) or payment matrix Level 10 in 2017, the usual cost and other allowances may be allowed by the Odisha government from time to time. The posts are temporary and permanent.

Education level;

A candidate must have a degree in horticulture from any recognized university or institution.


A candidate must be 21 (twenty one) years of age and, as of January 1, 2021, not more than 32 (thirty-two) years old.

The above age limit can be relaxed for up to five years for candidates in the Social and Educational Retirement Classes (SEBC), Schedule (S), Planned Tribes (ST), Women and Former Servants, and 10 Category Candidates. For ten years of PWD candidates, their permanent disability is 40% or more.

Test fee;

A candidate is required to pay only 500 rubles for non-refundable and non-refundable fees. Candidates with scheduled casts, planned Odisha tribe only and people with disabilities (40% and above permanent disability) are exempt from this fee.

Selection method;

Candidates for the position of Assistant Horticulture Officer will be selected based on written test and interview.

I. Writing Test – Holds a piece of paper containing MCQ design questions for the purpose. The paper will have 200 marks with 200 questions each with one mark. The test time will be 3 hours.

ii. There must be a negative signal for incorrect answers.

iii. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

iv. The interview contains 25 (twenty-five) marks.

Examination area;

Cuttack and Bhubaneswar will be based on the number of candidates who have applied for the position of Assistant Horticulture Officer Officers. The test program will be notified in advance.
