The Punjab Agricultural University Skills Development Center has organized a two-day online training course on effective agricultural and food products marketing for service candidates. A total of 18 agricultural and horticultural officers; Scientists from PAU and his Krishna Vigian Kendras participated in the study.
Cooperative Director (Skills Development) Kuldeep Singh said an improved and efficient agricultural marketing strategy will support the growth of agro-based industries and encourage the overall economic development process.
Extension Scientist (Nutrition and Nutrition) and course coordinator, Kiran Grover, urged extension executives to focus on production and focus on farmers in various areas of quality, consumer choice, market knowledge, processing and value addition.
Kushdep Darney, School of Business Studies and Technical Coordinator, said farmers need to work closely with consumers and the market to produce more related products for profit.
Ramadep Singh, an expert at the School of Business Studies, sheds light on product development and packaging marketing.
The department’s professor, LM Katuria, told the participants about the promotion of agricultural and food exports. ODP also discussed government initiatives.
