According to Director of Horticulture PH, Sheikh K. Tariq Mahmud, the Authority is conducting mass farming during the ongoing rain farming campaign and the target of 200,000 plants given to the Authority by the Pun Najab government will be achieved before September 15.
Strong measures have been taken by the PHA to complete the planting of trees in the town of Rawalpindi.
He said various seedlings are being planted along the new Islamabad Airport Road at a distance of 8 to 10 feet. PHHA has planted more than 120,000 seedlings on New Islamabad International Airport.
He added that he had instructed the relevant authorities to complete the installation plan as soon as possible.
He announced that he has planted pH seedlings at FZIA College Nur Khan Base and the ongoing tree planting campaign on Sixth Street.
Seedlings were planted on Sixth Avenue with the help of the local community, and the main faculty and students participated in a plant drive on the college grounds.
PHHA has planted more than 31,000 seedlings in urban areas during this time.
The Punjab government has announced that it is using all available resources to achieve the 200,000 plants set by the Punjab government.
According to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Prime Minister Punjab Sardar Osman Bozdar, the PHA is working to provide a clean and healthy environment for its citizens.
The PNA and Tourism Development Corporation Pun Najab (TDCP) has also jointly organized a tree planting campaign at the Mure Xway and Kashmir points.
PHHA has planted thousands of seedlings in rainforests on the streets and green belts of the town of Rawalinpidi.
Citizens and students of schools and colleges also participated in the initiative and the ongoing planting campaign.
He said the authority is trying to spread awareness about the importance of trees and the planting campaign.
While the PHAAA is targeted for 18,000 seedlings, 31,000 seedlings have been planted, and the authority has planted more seedlings than planned this summer.
Dr. PH Zaher Anwar has given clear instructions that the seedlings should be taken care of after planting, adding that he will monitor the seedlings geographically after they become king.
He said the authority is working beyond the region to plant seedlings in the Kant, Murre area and on the new airport road.
During the current winter, PHHA has provided 5,000 seedlings to the Department of Education, private educational institutions and the District Council for planting along the boundaries of their campuses, he said.
Sheikh Kariq said all steps are being taken to green the city in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the direction of Prime Minister Pun Najab Adviser and Chairman PH Rawalpindi Asif Mohammed.
He said the authority is trying to make the city greener by reducing air pollution, adding that the PHA is trying to provide residents with an attractive and healthy natural environment.
He urged citizens to come forward and play their part in the success of the PHH rain-fed campaign.
He said the PHA had planned to plant trees on the banks of the Nulah Leh and the Sowan River. Under the Moson tree planting campaign, some 25,000 seed balls have been dumped along the Sawan River.
PAA Raulpindi said it also planned to develop 50 Miyawaki urban forests in various urban areas.
