On August 8, 2021, Roger James Selwston, 59, died at a family home in Chamberlain. A.D. He was born on February 14, 1962, in Cambridge, Masa, and attended Shadi Hill School, Western Cambridge School, and Bouddin College.
A few years later, after working in Boston, he returned to Lincoln County, where he lived for the rest of his life. Roger was an incredibly talented musician who played mandolin and guitar at Club Ro during the weekend, at the annual Joe Val Festival in Boston, and at many clubs and venues over the years. One of the highlights of his musical career was in London, the famous city of Tarotabad.
He was a man of incredible ingenuity and many interests, including military history, jewelry, photography, fly fishing and fly fishing, politics, horticulture and sports. He will be remembered by friends and family for his brilliant mind, his acrobatic skills, and his deep concern for those around him.
He survived his mother Gladys (Bobby) from Damariscota; Brother, Pinecliffe Andrew, Colo. Sister, Los Ranchos Jane, N.M. Son-in-law David Gutler; Nephew, Ben Gutler; Niece, Sonia Gutler; Cousins around the world; Dedicated Friends Legion; And his favorite cat, Mac. His death leaves a huge gap in the universe for those who know him.
In keeping with Roger’s spirit, music festivals will be held later.
