Spring is coming – garden management

Today, we interviewed Glenis Buck, our regular garden columnist, about the benefits to homeowners of using a professional gardener in the garden.

You have over 20 years of experience in the fruit and vegetable industry. Why do you advise homeowners that it is a good idea to use professional and qualified gardening companies?

I think the most important thing to consider when choosing a gardener is to make sure that the person is qualified. Gardening is not rocket science, but it is often wrong for anyone to pick a shovel and a pair of sectors and become a gardener himself.

I recommend that homeowners ask any contractors who are considering hiring, what research and experience they have completed in the horticulture industry. Usually a qualified gardener will charge a higher hourly rate, but this is because they have the knowledge and skills to take care of your garden at all levels.

They will have the right tools for every garden. They have extensive knowledge of how to use fertilizers, pesticides, pesticides and insecticides in the garden and use them correctly. They know the difference between an annual weed, a regular annual weed, or a valuable plant. They will choose the right plants for your area and know how and when to care for them. Gardening involves many different things.

To successfully care for a garden, you need to understand plant physiology, plant habitat, local climate, plant biology, soil science, and plant pests and diseases. Not just plants and garbage. We often have to deal with laborers who have damaged the garden in various ways, such as cutting the plant at the wrong time, using the wrong cutting method, or even planting a plant that is not suitable for the site.

It is a struggle to explain to customers that the garden will suffer for a long time and will not be saved, even though they have spent good money on gardening. This will get back to you for what you get. An experienced horticulturist can grow a little, but you will be able to manage and care for your garden in the long run. It will save you a lot of money in the long run because your overall garden will be in better condition and the plants will grow.

Why is hiring a professional gardening company beneficial for your clients?

In today’s world everyone is busy. There are not enough hours during the day, but everyone wants to have a well-organized garden. Many of our clients enjoy working in their gardens, but they find that in their spare time they do not have access to everything, so we are able to cope with tasks that we cannot complete.

These can be completed as seasonal visits or completed weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Benefits Our customers can enjoy the garden in their spare time instead of feeling like slaves to the garden. We have all the right tools to complete gardening in the most efficient and cost-effective way. Our vehicles are configured to carry all the equipment to each station so we are ready for anything. During our scheduled visits, we sometimes find that our customers want to work with us in the garden. This is always a great experience as we can gain an in-depth understanding of the client and their plants.

Many homeowners may have a strong bond with their garden after years of self-care. How does your gardening work with your clients to build trust?

Yes, we truly appreciate that our customers are connected to their gardens and have a strong understanding of what each plant or part of their site needs. We will take the time to get to know the garden, talk to the landlord in person and in a written garden management plan that explains all the activities. We communicate with the client about what to do before each visit and we keep the client up to date.

Often the client will also have a list of things to face. We are proud that we have built strong relationships with our customers so that they can trust us with their gardens and know that we are getting the best results for their gardens. Our motto is high quality and personal service for all customers.
