The Department of Horticulture has today launched an awareness training camp on various departmental programs, particularly the newly launched High Density Program at Rest House Chawalgam, here. Director General of Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmed Bhat, was the guest of honor at the event, which was celebrated by D.C. Chairman Kulgam Mohd Afzal Pare. Various DDC and BDC members attended the camp with PRIs. Dr. Iqbal Baba highlighted the current state of the horticulture sector in the district and reviewed participants for various development programs, including the revised High Density Plan. Under various central and UT sponsored programs under the department. MDH, PMDP, SMAM, PMKSY, CAPEX etc.
He urged local farmers, especially small and micro-enterprises, to come forward and benefit from the new plan. He said shifting to high density plantation is the only viable option to increase production and productivity. And blockchain farmers praised the department’s approach and offered Rs as a voluntary mark. 000 16000 was donated to General Horticulture Director General Manzgam Jamila Aktar, a member of the DCC, for the benefit of the tribe.
