Teddy was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 8, 1960 to the late Donald and Laura (Kersting) Stuckey. He and his parents had visited all 50 states by the age of 18. He was a 1978 graduate of Central High School, where he played varsity football. As it is often said, “Brave and great at 78”. He then went to Vincennes University and Purdue Extension and graduated with a degree in horticulture. Teddy operated two successful businesses for over 30 years: Teddy’s Spring Valley Garden Center and JETS Car Wash. Teddy loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He had a passion for classic cars that he and his son Teddy 2 shared in common. Teddy loved giving back and making people happy. He sponsored several youth league athletic programs in the city and enjoyed Central football games. Teddy was a member of the Masonic Lodge, served on the Center Township Advisory Board, Animal Control Board, Salem United Methodist Church, and was very active in the Republican Party. Teddy loved attending the Vanderburgh County 4-H Fair and Frog Follies with his family. He will always be remembered by his friends and family for always being there when they need him and of course his famous tutus. Teddy was the kind of man the world needs more of, a loving father, son, uncle, husband and brother. He touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him.
