Welcome to the BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Fleet Mike Stevens As the new Director of Agricultural Research. Stevens oversees the maintenance of the Ballet Isles three-course golf courses, including East, North and South courses, golf facilities and the club’s agronomy team.
Born and raised in Ginsville, Florida, Stevens has lived in and around St. Augustine for the past 21 years. He most recently served as director of agronomical programs for the Indigo Golf Partners, which oversees golf course maintenance, capital planning, renovation and human resource development in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana and Texas. From 2007 to 2010, he served as St. Augustine’s Superintendent of St. John’s Golf and National Club, and participated in private club building and daily agricultural research.

Stevens is a former president of the North Florida Golf Course Superintendents Association and a member of the Class A GCSAA. He is married to his childhood sweetheart Amanda, with whom he has two children, Benjamin and Madison.

BallenIsles East and North Courses are designed by two of the most popular golf course architects of the day: Dick Wilson And Joe Lee. 2019 and 2020 Res Jones He redesigned the South Course. BallenIsles announced a strategic design partnership with Nicklas Design earlier this year to take over the club after a year-long renovation of the Eastern Course and Golf Practice Facilities. Eastern course renovations are expected to include modernizing the irrigation system, upgrading the course, improving T areas, and restoring the original course design features since the course hosted the major championships.
