Oreno – Maine University and Regional Campus, Machiavelli Maine University, Plan a new online pre-college career path.
Designed to promote high school students to higher education and careers, the course is typically 15 credits, or five courses, and allows students to advance to a university degree through a course portfolio.
Registration for fall classes is open until Monday, August 23rd. Application information is available at explorec.maine.edu.
As part of its commitment to affordability and accessibility, UMaine and UMaine Machias will partner with the Maine Department of Education to fully subsidize education. Students can earn two credits for high school and college when they participate in the program.
Maine Public High School and Home School students are free of charge for up to 12 credits per year. Private high school students are eligible for enrollment in pre-college courses at a discounted rate of $ 138.25 per hour.
“This pre-college approach approaches supports and encourages high school students to take college courses on purpose, and is designed to link portfolios to specific degree programs and potential career paths,” said UMaine Class Patricia Libby. Dean of Life Education, Dean of Umayyad.
The University of Maine has added the following full-online career paths to its initial college program: business; Childhood development and family relationships; Economics; Engineering; Local gardening; General education jump start; Go Teach; Health and wellness; Leadership, community and politics; Nursing; Political science; Psychology; And sustainable agriculture.
Road, mixed with station rooms, is in outdoor management.
UMaine Machias offers a full online pre-college course on business, career exploration, college studies, law enforcement, creative arts, education (including early childhood, elementary, high school and special education), geographic information systems, and psychology.
Hybrid roads include water farming, health professions, outdoor management and STEM.
