University of Florida Greenhouse Training Online Courses Disease Management September 13!

Improve your immunity and management in kindergartens and greenhouses by enrolling in the fourth course for disease management at the award-winning Greenhouse Online Training Courses offered by IFAS Extension at the University of Florida.

This intermediate education is designed for farmers with limited experience and training. Topics covered include how to differentiate between disease and other issues, immunization advice, organic and common treatment options, and how to safely apply and treat antifungal drugs. The course is offered in English and Spanish.

Dr. Carrie Harmon, Director of the UF / IFAS Plant Research Center and Executive Director of the National Plant Diagnostic Network, will teach the course in Gainsville, FF. Farmers described the training as “easy to understand and follow,” and said it had helped them “feel better about identifying disease problems and not panic about disease books on the shelf.”

The course will run from September 13 to October 8, 2021. The price is $ 249 per participant, with a 20% discount if you register five or more. Materials are fully online, and include pre-recorded videos, interactive discussion boards and questions with PhD professors. Lessons are available at any time of the day, and two new modules are activated each week during the course for a total of eight learning modules.
