WV Plant Gardens to be renovated.

Morganton, W – West Virginia Plantation Park will soon have a visitor center.

The gardens recently received a $ 400,000 grant from Equitrans Midstream Corporation to renovate an old warehouse to a tourist center.

Improvements include a gift shop, cafe, public restroom, special event ticket office and staff meeting place.

There is currently no place for visitors to plan a visit. This will change him.

“You can go out and spend the day here,” said WVBG CEO Philip Smith. “You can come and get a sandwich and a drink and you can spend a day here for a picnic and really a visit to the garden… to go in and sit and snack and buy a gift.

The renovation is expected to be completed by the summer of 2025. Once completed, the facility will be renamed the Eutrans Mid Stream Visitors Center.

Equitrans has already donated another $ 40,000 to WVBG.
